How to download Instagram videos
- Copy the post link. Open the reel or video, tap the three dots or Share, then choose Copy link.
- Paste it above. Drop the link into the input and press Fetch. Reels, /p/ posts and /tv/ videos are all recognised.
- Download video or audio. Choose the video file, or switch to an audio format to keep only the sound.
Formats, quality and audio
- Instagram media is saved as MP4 at the best quality the post exposes. A resolution menu is not offered for Instagram because the platform publishes a single video stream per post.
- Audio is extracted at 192 kbps as MP3, with AAC and M4A also available. Opus and WAV requests fall back to MP3 on Instagram.

Which Instagram links work?
Reels, standard video posts and IGTV links are recognised, along with story links. The post must be public; private accounts cannot be fetched.
Why does an Instagram download sometimes fail?
Instagram frequently asks for a signed-in session or rate-limits requests. If a link fails, it is usually private, region-restricted, or temporarily throttled rather than broken.
Can I pick a resolution?
No. Instagram publishes one video stream per post, so Downlify saves that stream as MP4 instead of offering a quality menu that would not change the output.
Can I save the audio only?
Yes. Choose an audio format and Downlify extracts the track at 192 kbps.
Do I need to log in to Downlify?
No account is needed. Downlify handles the platform session itself; you only supply the link.
Does it work with carousels?
Carousel posts are fetched as the single media item the link resolves to. Mixed image-and-video carousels are not split into separate files.
